Today’s word of the day is:
Susurate
Now, this is a word that has no meaning to me!
When autumn rolls around, and trees shred their leaves, the whispering rustles that can be heard, for the hearing folks, that is susurrate.
Yet, it doesn’t need to be autumn inclusive, susurrating could happen in spring and summer, when wind blows through the maples. Winter, on the other hand, might be a more scratchy sound.
Interesting eh?
Us Deafies might sign “Tree, leafs, flutter softly…”
Thank you for reading!
