What Book I’ve regretted reading…

Hey y’all!

I saw this daily prompt and knew exactly what I wanted to say… but I had to check one tiny thing, when I returned from the google search, fact affirmed, the darn daily prompt had changed! Like in 30 seconds, new prompt… talk about quick change!

The prompt was about a book I regretted reading… I’m adding a single word:

What is a book I regret not reading and why…

That book is Bravo, Miss Brown, a World without sight and sound written by Joan Mactavish.

Wait a sec, I did start the book, got pretty far in, but one day I stopped, I regret not finishing it!

I had never met Miss Brown, but she was darn inspirational, having attended university as a DeafBlind person in the early 1970s, at a time when the zeitgeist was that handicapped persons couldn’t attend higher education.

But Mae persisted, with the help of Joan, who would tirelessly spell out whole books and lectures using fingerspelling! This was quite a task!

I can’t remember why I stopped, but in honour of Joan, who passed a few weeks ago at the grand age of 106, I will find a way to finish this book!

I need to find it in eBook format, because I can’t read print, not even large print, anymore!
