Hi there readers!

I’m going to run through 2025, it’s highs & lows, it’s happy & sad moments, a rundown…

This year, 8760 hours, seemed to flash by in half that time! What?

Does time speed up, once a person hits a certain age? Hmm?!

In no particular order, we begin; I’ll try to get up to 25 lights, high or low. Here we go…

1. My son becomes an adult! He had a birthday! We had an 1980s party! Hip hip hooray! (Why am I still waking him up to go to school?)
2. My wife had a birthday! Beat’s me how she put up with me so long!
3. My biggest hero, my beautiful mum passed away! Not a day goes by when I don’t miss her. Everyone misses her laugh, her smile, her house that always smelled of vanilla!
4. Mom in law moves in with us, a helpful hand. Forever welcome!
5. After 5 years of trying, my wife finally achieves her drivers license! Whoo! She’s a natural driver, even her Trucker Daddy is impressed!
6. Alaska! 7 days on a boat, just the wife & I! What fun! The Food & Adventures were memorable!
7. Tattoos! I got my first and second tats within 2 months! Love them!
8. My oldest son, the one who’s birthday is mentioned above, “graduated!” I put that word in quotations because he needs to finish up a few credits, so he’s not done with school just yet.
9. I’m adjusting well to orphan-hood, still miss and call upon my parents to help with things.
10. I’m a gym nut! Twice a week, sometimes, thrice, you can find me pumping iron at my Alma mater’s gym. My muscles are rippling, and my stomach is flatter!
11. Mum’s stuff became my stuff, and now my house is overstuffed. An example I like to share: we have four tubs of Christmas stuff, add her three and Mom in Law’s two… oh my!
12. I’ve had several successful workshops this year, so successful that I’m itching to get back into that arena. Public speaking doesn’t phase me!
13. My youngest son, he too had a birthday, a happy kid he is!
14. My wife got a vehicle! Really nice SUV!
15. Both boys are now taller than me, my wife and my mom in low… (Ooo I’m gonna pay for that!)
16. The elder son was in a school play! He did an incredible job! Silent, but Deadly was a great production! He is a natural!
17. Ember, the family dog, now sits everyday by the door; waiting for Mom to take her for a drive!
18. The youngest boy started high school! Oh my!
19. Mom in Law brought her cat with her, Ember & Tiggi (our family cat) finally accepts Squishy as a fur-brother!
20. Grandma (mom in law) became a Great Grandma! A bundle of joy was born in Toronto to the Wife’s niece!
21. The family had a blast with Streetheart during Golden Spike Days! My son rocked it out by my side in the front row, while the wife, mom in law and other son sat way far away… oh my was that loud!
22. Somewhere in between Easter & Victoria Day, my wife & I celebrated an anniversary… I’m not exactly sure which one! Haha 23!
23. After almost a decade, my sons met my brother’s kids. And, I had a frosty meeting with my brother, it was, basically, frosty with a touch of cold draft.
24. I also had a birthday… I’m now closer to 60 than I was earlier this year.
25. Christmas this year was a hodge-podge affair… yet we all enjoyed it tenfold!
26. Christmas 2026 is already in the bag, we already have plans, don’t send Christmas Cards, our ship will come in and we’re gonna be on it.
27. Gosh, I got to 27!
