Craig‘s WD #35

Today’s word of the day is…

Dulcet

You find yourself talking to a person who is distraught, frustrated, anxious, horny or angry (the list is endless), and you want to calm the person down, instiling a sense of calmness, soothing, but not dismissing, their issues; you would probably use a dulcet voice or signing dulcetly.

A sweet & soothing sound, or signing soothingly, that is what you are doing!

An example:

I was getting more frustrated with a print job, the paper output was growing from 117 pages to 223. I became frustrated, anxious. The librarian saw that, and communicated (using notes app) that she understands the issue, to go rest, we can try it again later.

That attitude really helped me calm down.

Thank you for reading, if there is something amiss with this definition, please correct me!

Have a great day!
