Intervenor etiquette you may not know #2

Let’s make this one less wordy:

One time I was at McDonald’s with an intervenor.

I had an impromptu video meeting with another person, I was using the intervenor to relay the ASL conversation.

This is the point of this blog, but a message the intervenor told me about:

“There is a sign on the way saying 30 minutes maximum…” at each table.

I took that under advisement, but continued the meeting for another 15 minutes, in total I discussed a DeafBlind project for almost 45 minutes.

Did the intervenor try to hurry the meeting, or take shortcuts to be finished within the 30 minute posted limit? No they did not.

They informed me of the policy, it was my prerogative to follow that policy or not.

Thanks for listening!
