Writings about Ataxia, being DeafBlind, family life. The best life can offer!

Another TV observation

Have you noticed, in some shows, bespectacled characters seem to have more than one pair of glasses.

It’s as if they own an entire LensCrafters store of different frames!

This character went from classic aviators to rounded frames, plus some funky Ray Bans all within a single episode.

Yet, we all know that prescription glasses are not cheap, nor can lenses be swapped with frames.

Why does that TV show give the impression that, A) glasses are inexpensive, and B) paramedics make enough money to change eyewear three times an episode?

Oh yeah, once a particular pair of frames have been used, they are never seen again, another misconception if you ask me.

And another similar topic: why are every pair of glasses ever worn by any character, from Harry Potter to Dr. Peter Benton (surgical eye protectors) to Walter White to Amy Farrah Fowler always spotlessly clean? Not even a smudge! I find that kind of silly! Having worn glasses much, they get dirty and need to be cleaned often, especially those eye protectors!

Captain Olivia Benson has the best reading glasses ever!

What do you think?

Have a great day now!
