Speaking…

Were you aware, maybe not as I hardly know anyone in WordPress Land, that I can speak and talk?

I grew up hearing, but now I can’t hear anything.

Because of this, I had a very good command of spoken English, I could carry conversations on for long periods of time.

I still use my voice at home, but never do I use it in public, why? Let me elucidate you…

– If I were to start a conversation with someone – using my voice – that person generally assumes I can hear, and replies in kind.

– And, now with ataxia, my voice, speech, sounds terrible, and it flip flops like a fish out of water; at first it is usually clear, then it fades, or becomes scratchy, words often flow together likealongandjumbleconfused flowof indistinguishable sounds.

I could be trying to say: “How much does the quarter pounder cost?” instead I end of saying “How much quarpundch?”

So, whenever I go somewhere, I will either use technology to write something, or physically write something the old fashioned way. I want to be clear! I want a quarter pounder, not a filet o’ fish, which incidentally, has not passed my lips since 1981!
