Today’s Word of the Day is…

Askance

No, you are not asking for a dance, in fact, if you use this word, you are not asking at all…

The most common phrase is Look Askance, which implies you don’t believe the person or the story they share.

In my youth, I had long hair. Whenever I make that comment, people look askance at me. They doubt it, looking at my bald head. So I dig up a picture, set them straight!

Damn, was I sexy 35 years ago!
Still sexy at 57!
