Writings about Ataxia, being DeafBlind, family life. The best life can offer!

Oh the mind

…it does wander!

I was at Walmart the other day, searching for Hot Wheels, something I don’t do very often now.

I found a lot of good vehicles…Oh, a Mercury Cyclone! Wow, look a ‘68 Corvette Monkey Garage! A ‘32 Ford! A Bonneville! That day I found at least 10 cars of interest! I stacked them haphazardly on my left arm.

Then, excitement turned to alarm!

My phone, where is it!

I checked my pockets, my shoulder bag, my chair…

I started to backtrack…

Until I realized, much to my embarrassment, my phone was under the stack of cars I held… in… my… left… hand!

I laughed out loud… and carried on!

I bought five of those Hot Wheels…

This mindlessness happened again… on the same day!

… thank you for reading!
