Today’s word of the day is…

Unctuous

This triple U word is a bit tricky to define for my readers, but I am going to try!

Okay, here it goes:

Unctuous is an adjective, right, so you are describing a person (usually) in a flattering way, but you know that person is false.

“I’ve dealt with many unctuous doctors in the past, one especially oozed sympathy like a jagged forearm cut; but deep down, I knew this particular doctor was just learning how to stitch, besides, he practically ran away from me once he finished.”

There!
