Craig’s WD #29

Today’s word of the day is…

Contrite

“Alright! Who took the last Tim Hortons Walnut Crunch?! That was my favourite donut that I was saving for later! I worked very hard today and was really looking forward to that donut!”

No one in the family confesses their sticky fingers…

Until…

“Dad, I’m sorry, I ate the last donut. It was old and sorta hard,” confessed my son.

“Well, thank you for telling me son. Why did you tell me now?”

“You worked hard…”

“Aah,” Dad replies, “you felt guilty that you took my last donut.”

Contrite means expressing guilt or remorse.

Hope you don’t steal me Walnut Crunch!
