Writings about Ataxia, being DeafBlind, family life. The best life can offer!

Another Moving Episode

Hello readers:

It pays to be assertive in today’s world.

An old man was trying to get off a bus; he shakily moved his walker to a position, stood up slowly, then walked into a wall of people. These people had boarded the bus, unaware someone was trying to get off. They were trying to manoeuvre around him. This guy, was probably saying “excuse me” or something polite, but the crowd was not listening, until I got involved!

I hollared: Get Off the Bus! They took one look at me, sitting in my power chair, and slowly made way!

Moral: even if it is raining cats and dogs, please look inside, look to make sure no one is getting off! Don’t be a barrier, but be observant!8
