Getting back into a rhythm.

Hello, don’t you like it when you are able to get back into a routine?

I saw my neurologist in July, I used my walker that day. He wanted me to use it more often, not relying on power chair all the time.

He also recommended that I should get back into the gym; build up some muscles.

So, I decided to return to my alma mater and rejoin their amazing gym!

Since July 30th of this year I’ve been pumping iron, redeveloping muscles I forgot I had, discovering ones I didn’t know I had!

Every week I’d be there for an hour to 90 minutes. Feeling good!

Then, mid October, I saw my neuro again, and we chatted about gavious things; I mentioned I’d been at the gym every week, and you know what he said?

“That’s a great, it’s a start, maybe try going twice a week…”

So, three weeks ago, I joined my wife on a rainy Friday evening at the aquatic centre close by; she was doing aquafit, while I did their spartan gym.

Since then, I’ve gone to 2 different gyms within one week!

I tried the new YMCA gym last week, plus I went to the aquatic centre again.

This week, I returned to my local (ten minute walk) gym yesterday. And tomorrow, I’ll go up to my alma mater.

It’s nice to get back into that Gym rhythm!

Thanks for listening!
