Today’s word of the day is…
Sybarite
Have you ever witnessed an excessively rich person spending a small fortune on luxury things.
An ideal example would be Joe Cool living in a 7.4 million dollar mansion on the outskirts of UBC Endowment Lands.
Yet Mr. Cool became bored with the commute from home to his office on West Georgia; even through he drives a Bentley Continental GT in lime green.
So, he decides to sell the manse, and purchase a 23.6 million dollar penthouse, with a rooftop jacuzzi for 12, a block away.
Sure, he would still drive the Bentley, the Gucci suit is perfection, but not made for Vancouver’s rain. Besides, Firenze shoes should not be puddle jumping!
Mr. Cool (or shall I call him Mr. Sy A. Brite?) made this move just because he had a many million bucks sitting around collecting dust.
So, you could say, Mr. Brite is a sybarite. Oh yeah, he enjoys flaunting his money too!
That was fun!
Now you know!
Have a good day!
