Writings about Ataxia, being DeafBlind, family life. The best life can offer!

Judging again

This is a continuation of yesterday’s blog on mobility device etiquette.

Remember I am offering a DeafBlind perspective!

And that perspective is thus, don’t assume that the person using a mobility device has one challenge, an inability to walk…

But, in truth, many persons with mobility devices have multiple challenges. Some of which may be: diabetes, anemia, veganism, Multiple sclerosis, or, in my case, ataxia.

Plus, I am also DeafBlind, which means I can’t hear your banal chatter, warnings of impending doom, words of praise for expert level parking, or words of outrage for stupid parking… this list goes on…

The point being; don’t assume a person using a mobility device can hear you! They may be Deaf.

Thanks for reading!
