Craig’s WD #19

Today’s word of the day is…

Scheherazade Strategy

Oh my, what could this mean?

It is a political ploy, among other things, in which a situation is so very dire, quite possibly ending, yet instead of being truthful, lies are told so far fetched and believable, that, well, they are believed and the direness is forgotten.

Does that make sense?

To put this strategy in today’s crisis to DeafBlind Community Services funding, which is steadily draining, individuals who sent their MLA an email, or a letter of protest, each MLA may or may not send a follow-up email.
This email, expands “understanding”and “recognition” of the need of intervenors for DeafBlind individuals. The reply goes on and on; how vital an intervenor is and so forth…
Yet, here is the kicker, MLAs are using the same email of “understanding” to reply to personal responses on the intervenor funding issue.

See how the Scheherazade Strategy fits in here?

The Crisis of intervenor funding, MLAs responses of understanding and recognition, drawing us into believing they (MLA) are behind the DeafBlind community 100%, that draws our attention that that particular MLA is going to move heaven and earth to restore funding, and DeafBlind community believes that!

Damn, I voted for the wrong person!

Stay tuned…
