Writings about Ataxia, being DeafBlind, family life. The best life can offer!

Craig’s WD #8

Today’s word of the day is…

Amanuensis

Oh my, how very droll, this word! Yet it means something very common!

It is a truly fancy and snobby word for an assistant!

Alas, an amanuensis would usually take diction for a writer, poet, etc…

In other words, if you are a university student, and you have a note taker in class; that person is an amanuensis, regardless of what the course is.

But; I highly doubt you will see adverts seeking “A skilled Amanuensis, apply within…”!

Probably, once I get my novel published, and I start the third, I might need an amanuensis!

Stay tuned! Haha!

thank you for reading!
