Trip Journal: Blind Plus

Hi there:

In a previous blog, I introduced a term Blind plus.

I forgot to expand that term for you, if you figured it out, please disregard this blog…

In terms of labels, blind plus is probably an acceptable, nah, easiest, way to refer to a person who is Blind with additional disabilities.

Disabilities such as: dwarfism, downs syndrome, FAS, and so on…

There is a Deaf Plus group in BC, those who are Deaf, and have other challenges.

Sometimes I actually feel like I’m in three groups: My family, DeafBlind & Deaf plus.

But, I’m not linking myself to the Deaf plus group, not yet.

Did you figure that out? Bravo!

Stay tuned!
