Everyone on this planet we call Earth should have a special place that really gets their juices running.
For me, I always make my way back to my alma mater, Simon Fraser University.
At this very moment, I am sitting at a study carrel on the fourth floor of the SFU Burnaby campus’s main library, WAC Bennett Library.
This is the place where I spent countless hours & days reading & studying, while not always retaining, psychological material. I also did quite a bit of banal research on many arcane topics. I also chained myself, figuratively to a chair, with the goal of rewriting rough essays into dulcet drivel that have no merit in today’s society!
If that description rankled your thinking cap; and then you say: why is that place your favourite place? The reason is simple; SFU holds a steady fast grip on my intellect, because I achieved a Bachelors of Arts degree here. I worked my brain into a tizzy, I graduated! As a DeafBlind person, that is awesome!
Thru, as I often say, a BA in psychology is useless unless a Masters is pursued. Obviously I missed that boat…
Still, I come back here, I find a place, I work on a blog, finish a story, roll around campus; maybe when the renovations to the athletic department are complete, maybe I’ll join the gym again…
Where is YOUR favourite place? Why do you like to go there?
Thank you for reading! Have a great weekend!
